Tutoring for Students Who Struggle with Math

Has your child ever told you that he "hates math?" or that she's "not a math person?"  Have you ever felt ashamed because you couldn't come up with the right answer to a problem, or because you feel like you don't understand basic math?

Math anxiety is a very real thing that affects learners of all ages.  I have worked with children and adults to help them overcome their math anxiety.  As someone who has overcome math anxiety myself, I understand the strong connection between emotion and learning.  I want all of my students to see the fun and not the fear in math.

You can read more about math anxiety here.

Learning math should be fun and stress-free.

Let me show you how.

Educational Therapy

Welcome to educational therapy.  As a parent, you may have questions about educational therapy and how it can help your child.  How is ET different from tutoring or resource teaching?  How does ET work?  You may also be wondering what qualifies someone to be an educational therapist as opposed to a tutor.  This information below will address these basic questions.  For more information about educational therapy, please check out www.aetonline.org for the Association of Educational Therapists website.
